Seoul, South Korea, part i

Great for: Amazing views, lots to do and delicious food

How to get there: It’s South Korea’s capital so easy to fly in to, trains run from everywhere

Best experience: Mount Namsan views

Accommodation: About a million different hostels

Hello!

안녕하세요!

Seoul is just a beautiful and vibrant place and I stayed there for so long that I’m having to split these posts! Here’s number one!

After a terribly delayed flight I was so excited to finally land in Seoul, a beautiful city known for great culture, views and food. As a nature lover the first thing I did was climb Mount Namsan!

Being a plane at the top

What a view!

It wasn’t a difficult climb (you can also take the cable car up and down) and the views were gorgeous, the entire city was visible from the top and there were lots of (overpriced) restaurants and these cute love locks, you can take up your own padlock, buy one or just browse other people’s. It’s really cute to see all the visitors from around the world, the bright colours and languages from so many countries made the place feel really friendly and welcoming.

Colourful memories

Day 2 was a trip to the Cultural History square Dongdaemun History & Culture Park (동대문역사문화공원); a really amazingly trendy place with delicious street food and night time vibrance.

As a side note Korean coffee is amazing, since moving my life to Asia I’ve become somewhat a coffee snob and Seoul really know their slow drip cups, chilled lattes, great flavours :P
